Are you making healthy choices for your spine?

It’s often said that when something isn’t working properly in our body we feel pain.  Does that mean that when we don’t feel pain, everything is working as it should? Unfortunately, this not alway true .

Because of this we want to share with you 4 habits to keep your spine happy and healthy.

1. Posture, posture, posture

How is your posture?  Good posture is so important whether we are standing, or moving about.  We also need to be conscious of our posture when we are sitting and when we are sleeping.

2. Exercise, exercise, exercise

In order to function well proper exercise is required for the spine to be happy and healthy. By working the muscles around our spine, such as our abs, we will help maintain our spine’s proper position.

3. Nutrition, nutrition, nutrition

When we eat a healthy diet high in leafy greens and vegetable we are helping our nervous system. This in turn helps our body to handle stress much better and keeps our spines happy.

4. Rest, rest, rest

We all know the value of getting a good night’s rest.  Lack of sleep can wreak havoc on our bodies and our spines.  Our spine works hard all day and definitely needs rest and relaxation during the night.
