Is your foundation a good one?

How many times do you think about your feet?  After a long walk or run around Glenmore Park in South Calgary?  When you go out for dinner in those beautiful high heels?  Often by the end of the day our poor feet are sore and we feel exhausted!!  Yes our feet carry us from point A to B every day, but how often do you consider the beating they take from doing their job?

Consider for a moment the complex structure of your feet

  2. ¼ of your body’s bones, 52 in total

Yes taking care of your feet is important to your health.  Serious complications can develop if we don’t give our feet the care and attention they deserve.

Preventing troubles

Foot health is more than just not having pain.  We can be susceptible to plantar fasciitis and\or stress fractures if we neglect the structure of our feet.  How can you prevent this from happening?

  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Stand or walk on softer surfaces (think grass rather than concrete)
  • Make sure you visit our South Calgary office to talk about your feet!!
  • Orthotics can help absorb the shock your feet endure and stabilize the structure of your feet

 Should you blame your feet?

Just as the foundation of our houses need to be strong and supportive to avoid problems such as doors not shutting or cracks in the walls, some of our spinal problems may start with a poor foundation, our feet.
