Most people with jobs that require heavy lifting and repetitive motions including bending, turning and twisting have experienced low back pain. But, low back pain is becoming more common amongst those who don’t have such physically demanding work.

A psychosocial factor that is often overlooked is a person’s happiness within their workplace when it comes to the health of their neck and back. Often the employee’s fitness and the workplace design are the first elements that are considered but their mental outlook can also play a big role in these injuries.

Increasing job satisfaction and decreasing workplace stress is often recommended to reduce the symptoms and avoid taking drugs.

Some experts have said that as many as 80% of adults will require treatment due to work-related neck or back pain in their lifetime.
